Some exciting new activity including the funeral of Hannah Reynolds, the only civilian killed at Appomattox... she was wounded as a slave but died a free woman.
Schedule:
26 June 2015 -Friday
participants arrive and set up. The Viles is open to the public, but we
will not be having any public activities.
Friday evening: 1800ish suppah for participants (provided by MLHA)
1930:a reception /meet and greet. There will be a few speakers, a little music, introductions.

27 June 2015 - Saturday morning:
0900 - Form up for parade at City hall area (will provide map in registration packet).
1000 - parade kick-off. (includes reenactors and modern war veterans) Will end 3/4miles at the old Augusta Arsenal.
post-parade - proceed across the street to the Viles Arboretum.
Noon - gates open to the public.
noon - 1330 scheduled speeches by Major Delaney, Generals Grant,camp life and living history
1330 - skirmish and military demonstrations
- Speech Chamberlain, Gordon
- line up and surrender of arms
post surrender - back in camps while public wanders, town ball game, children recruiting, etc
1600 - Hannah's funeral
1700 - site closes to public
1800 - suppah (provided by MLHA)followed by fires, music and visiting.
June 28, 2015 - Sunday
0900 - gates open to public
0915ish period church service
0900-1100 - camps open, scheduled speeches etc
1100 - skirmish, surrender of troops
1300 - site closes to public. Those leaving, may pack up to go.
We are flexible with the schedule as much as possible, this is a guide.
There is room left for some improvising.
